Bill DeRonde moved to Los Angeles in 1994, started Chainsaw, his post-production company, in 1996, and spent over 2 decades building a dynamic and beloved facility.  Editing variety and reality shows like Behind the Music, The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance as well as numerous popular comedy specials and award shows and much more, Bill vigorously fostered Chainsaw’s growth.

In 2007, he began his directing career with Audition Episodes of American Idol and subsequently Audition Shows of So You Think You Can Dance. Since then, his directing resume has expanded and, in 2021, he chose to pursue directing more fully. His editorial expertise helps shape his directing vision and that comprehensive experience and energy creates strong television.
